The Coolest Live Video Game Event I’ve Ever Seen
I attended one of the most special video game industry events of my career last night. Naughty Dog and Sony produced “The Last of Us—One Night Live” in Santa Monica at the Broad Stage Theater. It was a spectacular display of the amazing art, craft, talent, storytelling, mixed media, collaboration and technological wonder that exists in video games.
To celebrate the release of The Last of Us Remastered on PS4, Naughty Dog and crew brought the game’s director Neil Druckmann and several of the game’s actors to a live stage. The Academy Award winning composer and a live band were there as the actors performed scenes from the game in front of 2D art on a big screen.
It was truly magical. I was so proud to be there in my city with folks from my industry along with fans at a live streamed event. It was beautiful. It was unique. It was such an excellent cultural event of top quality artistic merit. And it was so much fun!!!!!
Thanks to Marina Lee from Women in Tech Network for the extra ticket!!!!
